Most patients benefit from a cleaning and exam every six months. Patients with gum disease or high cavity risk may need visits every three to four months. Dr. Sachs will recommend the right interval for you.
For most patients, cleanings are comfortable. Sensitive teeth or heavy tartar buildup can cause mild discomfort, in which case we apply a topical numbing gel to keep you comfortable.
