A native of Southern Maryland, Dr. Sachs graduated from Chopticon High School in 1978. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Science degree from the University of Maryland-Baltimore County (UMBC) and his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1988 from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. He resides in Leonardtown with his wife and children. Dr. Sachs has been in private practice since 1988 and established his practice in Solomons, MD in 1991. In his spare time, Dr. Sachs enjoys reading, especially Clive Cussler’s various series.
Over the last 25 years, Dr. Sachs has taken many continuing education courses. He has completed the USDI orthodontic program and is a certified Invisalign provider. Recently, he completed the Sleep Complete program, sponsored by Henry Schein, to broaden his knowledge of Obstructive Sleep Apnea and to be able to provide more choices in the treatment of OSA. He has also completed the 3i Continuum in implant restorative dentistry. In addition, he has taken classes taught by key dental opinion leaders, such as Dr. Ron Jordan, Dr. Stanley Malamed, Dr. Gordon Christensen, Dr. Robert Nixon, Dr. Dan Nathanson, Dr. Ross Nash, Dr. Larry Rosenthal, Dr. Norm Feigenbaum, Dr. John Kanca, Dr. Jon Suzuki, Dr. Ron Goldstein, Dr. Roger Levin, Dr. Tom Limoli, Dr. Jim Pride, Dr. Kit Weathers, and Linda Miles.
